On our last day of our winter break, I was able to take my 3 oldest boys to Wild Wings in Honeoye Falls. Wild Wings Inc is a not-for-profit educational organization which includes a bird of prey facility and the Mendon Ponds Park Nature Center. My boys and I had such a great time seeing all the different animals they are caring for there. The education specialist that guided us through the tour was so knowledgeable about the birds, I was very impressed! It was a safe space to go and learn about animals. They do not charge an admission fee but they rely on donations and programming to be able to feed and care for the animals which call Wild Wings home. They also host hikes at their facility in Mendon Ponds Park.
My boys were happy to pick out which animal they could see up close and take a picture next to it. Mine chose the snowy owl, Teddy! At the end they were picking out stuffed animals to take home with them.
