Summer Guitar Adventure
Grades: 2-6
Teacher: Kenneth Kam
Time: Saturday, 10-11am
Dates: June 26 – August 28 (no class on July 3; 9 weeks total)
Room: MSH 1 – Karen Rettner Community Music Center
Tuition: $148 per semester
Kids from grades 2-6 can explore the possibilities of the acoustic guitar in this fun-filled ensemble setting. Beginners through to intermediate level students are invited to take part in an exploration of various styles of music, from classical to rock. This is a great way to start on the guitar while also building listening and improvisational skills. Or for students who are taking a break from lessons in the summer it is a great way to keep your skills sharp in a fun group setting! Students must provide their own acoustic guitar in playable condition and bring a folder for handouts. A clip-on electronic tuner is strongly encouraged.
