On May 10th, join us at the Ukrainian Cultural Center in Webster for a night of live music, dancing, and delicious German food and drinks at our Bavarian Frühlingsfest (Spring Fest).
Hosted by Rochester's own traditional German dance groups, Bayern-Verein Alpengrün and Schuhplattler Verein Heidengold, this event will bring the best of German dance to our community.
The evening will feature not only energetic folk dances and live German music but also a raffle with various prizes you won’t want to miss.

Doors will open at 5 PM, with the opening ceremonies kicking off shortly after, followed by live music around 6 PM. Throughout the evening, we'll be joined by dancers from surrounding areas, who will perform at various times.
The dance floor will be open for you to enjoy throughout the evening!
Your Hosts: Bayern-Verein Alpengrün & Schuhplattler Verein Heidengold Both dance groups are deeply rooted in Rochester, dedicated to preserving and promoting traditional German folk dancing, customs, and culture. As proud member clubs of the Federation of German American Societies of Rochester NY (FGAS), both clubs actively engage with other local German clubs, including the Germania Singers, who often perform alongside our dancers, adding to the German atmosphere.

We’re passionate about fostering a sense of community. Whether you’re dancing on the floor or cheering from the crowd, everyone is invited to join in the fun. We offer memberships for active dancers as well as booster memberships for those who want to support the tradition of German folk dancing without actively participating.
We regularly travel to events in other cities, joining fellow dance clubs across North America. This spring, catch us in Buffalo and St. Catharines, and this summer, we’ll be heading to Delaware for the Gaufest—a four-day celebration with more than 60 German dance clubs from all over North America. The event includes performances, competitions, parades, workshops, and plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow dancers. Closer to home, you can find us dancing at local Oktoberfests, breweries, and private events around Monroe County.

Whether you're an experienced dancer or just looking to have fun, we welcome new members of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels. Our practices are held at our cultural building at 150 Spencerport Road, Gates NY, and we promise one thing: a good time for all!
