The children's center has a variety of picture books, fiction, non-fiction, and multimedia resources as well as computer work stations designed for children and storytimes.
The Brighton Kiwanis Discovery room is found within the Children's Center. It is designed for toddlers through 3rd graders. Children must be accompanied by an adult. This room includes a story time corner, puppet/people theater, computer learning station, and a drawing/writing station.
Visit the Children's Literacy Garden just outside the childrens center and see a variety of plants, shrubs, flowers and trees which attract birds and butterflies. You'll see popular literature quotes around the garden. A child sized amphitheater for outdoor storytimes and benches for relaxing.
The library also features a Teen Area which supports the interests of young adults aged 11-17. It includes popular fiction, fantasy, science-fiction, graphic novels, magazines, required reading materials, internet and microsoft office computers, tables for group study, and special teen programs.
